Incoming! New map in next update!

In the next update to the game named Utz (after General Willibald Utz) we are introducing a new Assault Map codenamed “Forward Airfield”.

This new map represents one of the forward airfields that were built all over Europe before and during the war. Here we have a small village situated on a hill overlooking a river where a piece of nearby farmland has been laid out as an impromptu airstrip. The map is an assault map with 3 main objectives: The Airfield, The village Church and the bridge controlling access to the village.

‘Timoshenko’ update introducing the Soviet faction is now live!

This latest update brings the Soviet Union to the war as the third playable faction! 3 Factions fight for domination on 3000 battlefields (1000 new). The update is named Timoshenko (after the Soviet marshal and military commander Semyon Timoshenko) and here’s a quick overview of the new features we’ve added for you to enjoy!

 

New Features

New Faction: Soviet Union as playable faction

The Soviets are here! And they bring light tanks as well as medium, heavies and tank destroyers, as well as a giant Anti-tank rifle & AA, a lot of new weapons, planes, paratroopers and a lot more!

Weapon Balancing and NEW Weapon Upgrades

We have rebalanced all weapons in game and now introduce an Improved Weapon Upgrade feature, with much easier to see effects. The old (and a bit confusing) weapon mod system has been retired and mods refunded. Read more here.

Resource Pooling, Supply Line Skirmish & Retreat

All units in a battle pool their resources, to make it easier to spawn and even out Assault Teams wins/losses. Read more here. Supply line skirmish missions are now started when two Assault teams meet on a supply line AND Assault teams can now retreat from battles by sacrificing some resources as a rear guard.

Timoshenko Update: New Vehicle Spawn options

Among the many new light tanks, Medium tanks, heavy tanks, weapons, uniform variations etc. that the Timoshenko update brings, a seemingly small update to the spawn rules is hiding. This will have a marked impact on the way you play the action game and help promote teamwork across the board.

  • For the first 10 seconds after a Car/Motorcycle/Halftrack or tank is spawned it now works as a mobile spawn!

Timoshenko Update: RPG-43 Anti-Tank Grenade, NR-40 Melee Knife and Vulkan Stalin

Soviet troops are marching! And beside (and behind) the tanks we have recently shown, infantry advances. These soldiers carry a selection of weapons, including SMGs, light machineguns & semi-automatic rifles. A crucial part of flanking is being able to keep your moves quiet, hence equipping a knife or shovel is a good way to kill some enemies without anyone knowing.

Timoshenko Update: Resource Pooling

The Timoshenko Update not only brings us Soviets with their tanks and weapons, but also a new feature called Resource Pooling.

What Resource Pooling does is to take the resources brought to a battlefield and pool them, this allows for players to spawn from all the Assault Teams present for which type they have characters, and eliminates the situation where, for example, Two Motorized Infantry teams are present and one is completely wiped out (costing the owner a fair chunk of Warfunds), whereas the other only loses maybe 5 spawns. In Timoshenko the losses (AND the wins) will be distributed evenly between the ATs present.
