After getting the new stocks for the semi-auto rifles out to the waiting troops, now it’s time for more weapon personalizations! This time the bolt-action rifles and 2 of the submachine guns are getting ready for fun and adventure.

Here is the full list and remember that you can also personalize weapons you already own.
The weapons getting personal this time around are the following:

  • German Bolt-Action Rifle: Kar98

Half the Battle: Managing Equipment

Last week I gave you some tips on how to fight off tanks when you are playing as infantry. I concluded with a few suggestions to adapt your weapon loadout for different types of combat, depending on whether you want to focus on fighting mostly infantry or mostly vehicles. Squeezing different weapon types into your character’s limited inventory space can be a little bit tricky if you’re a new player, so I’ll use this week’s column to provide a quick overview of the Equipment Menu, as well as some versatile weapon combinations for the soldier who wants to be ready for any situation.

Beta Videolog 6 is now online

The new build ‘Irwin’ is online with a number of new exciting features (and a lot of bug fixes) and we hope you will all help us welcome new players and community members to the game. We also realized that we hadn’t made a videolog in some time, so Reto.KenSolo and Reto.Colding went to work. Take a look here:

Intelligence Bulletin Vol 3 * No 17

Now that Irwin build has been live for a bit we have gathered a lot of data on performance (and fixed bugs as fast as we could); we have gathered player feedback on the Warfunds system and we are looking at weapon usage and performance over time. So all in all this week has been spent hotfixing bugs on the live servers as soon as we noticed them and also gathering as much data as we can for future tweaking/balancing and general improvements. We are lurking on the forums, reading chat-logs and watching replays from the live servers to help us ID the most pressing needs so we can prioritize features and bug fixes in the most sensible way.

Reto.Injection is back! His zombie-foot seems to be mending so we are very happy to have him back (working on the resource system).

This weeks Intelligence Bulletin went out an hour later than normally, we were testing some things in the game (spawn delays, etc) and got kinda carried away in a mayhem of battle :-)

Have a great weekend everybody! :-)

New weapon textures

We are constantly working on improving the game, one of the very visible things is when we update the look of weapons and vehicles and this time it was the weapons’ turn for a haircut, shave and manicure in the binary beauty parlor. – Reto.Robotron3000

Gewehr 43 reloading

We are working as fast as we can to get the Gewehr 43 ready for frontline duty! One of the last things missing is the reload animations and I am currently finishing them.
