Master your own destiny! Command a nation!

Quesada is online!

The new build named Quesada (after the US General Elwood Richard “Pete” Quesada) is live on the servers! So here’s a quick overview of the new features we’ve added for you to enjoy!

New Features

Paratroopers returning to battle

The Paratrooper class is now back! Their planes are now polished and looks awesome, and there is an AI that controls the plane, to let all paratroopers fight. Read more about the paratroopers AND their uniform personalizations here.

Uniform Variations

You can now customize your soldiers with new uniforms, as we have introduced uniform variations for some of the classes. In this update the US Recon, US Paratrooper, German Tank Crew, German Recon and German Paratrooper characters can get new uniforms, while the rest of the classes will have to wait a bit for variations to be added in future updates.

New ammo types for vehicles

In this update we have started to add more ammo types for the vehicles, plus we have updated the user interface, to make it easier to see which ammo types you have available, how fast it reloades and how you change between them when you’re engaged in battle. It’s not all vehicles that now have more ammo types available, but try to log in and see if there are new explosive toys available for your favourite vehicle. In the coming updates we’ll add more.

Heroes & Generals coming soon to Steam

As many, many players have requested and asked for we are now coming to the Steam platform. Take a look at our Steam page here, and stay tuned for more info! You can already grab one of our avatars for your steam profile by clicking here.

More weapon personalization

The US Bazooka and the German Panzerschreck now have a new set of personalization options and we have also made a special “Gott mit uns” variation of the Gewehr 43, as well as a “Death or Glory” variation of the M1 Garand. Take a look at the Panzerschreck and Bazooka personalizations here.

There is of course much more happening in the build, so continue reading for more details…

Minor stuff

Here is a list of some additional features in the Quesada build.

  • Town Map tweaks around the Police Station and other places
  • LMG tweaks
  • Moved Stuart unlock from Level 5 to Level 3
  • Adjustments in search function in Campaign
  • Added warnings when trying to join battle with a vehicle with very little ammunition
  • Bug fixes

Mobile Command

The Mobile Command app moves along on its own release cycle (when at all possible) so the current version is compatible with the Quesada build when it goes live.

The long expected Quesada build, I must admit I wasn’t very excited about it at first, but there defiently is some amazing stuff in here.

The new ammo types, and the fact that you’ll have to make a choice regarding which ones you want to equip, are another cool step in the direction of character specialisation. I think it will be amazing when individual players within a squad excel at certain tasks and can thus make optimal use of their unique strengths by working together to complement eachother’s strengths and weaknesses.

I’m excited to check out the new LMG tweaks, those really were necessary in my opinion so I’m crious to see how they were tweaked and what the effects will be on gameplay and the way the LMGs are being used.

Moving the Stuart tank to level 3 however is a bad call in my opinion. I would have much prefered it if the required level to use the 38(t) had been increased (this coming from a German player). By reducing the ribbon for the Stuarts, it will only become much harder for Pz1 & Pz2 drivers because they’ll get shot to pieces, and for M2A2 drivers because those will only be able to pick up the crumbs the Stuarts leave behind.

Paras are of course the shining jewel of this update, but i’ll have to play a few games with them first before I can make an opinion on the new autopilot dropplanes.

Oh a little question are german paratroopers have transport planes like JU-52 ? or i still must spawn in air with german paratrooper :D

  4. pade4utodaypade4utoday07-03-2014

hopefully next build you guys will add the new planes :) if you could add a ju-87 first if you are in the future are going to make a air force type build.

What kind of tweaks did the LMG receive?

  6. TuupertunutTuupertunut07-03-2014

The Mobile Command app moves along on its own release cycle (when at all possible) so the current version is compatible with the –>OSTER<– build when it goes live.

So I went into he game and well there’s no para ATs roaming around so I guess my para character will have to wait.

  8. ludwin0021ludwin002107-03-2014

Nice to see all this changes. Can you guys fix the bug that when you get our of vehicles like a bike you fall from the sky and die, then you have to wait the delay penalty. Thanks!

In addition I would like to see weapons like the m1 carabin, the p 51 mustang and anti air/tank guns like the flak 88 because we really get destroyed when the enemy has tanks. In addition in the future I would like to see Japan, Italy, and Russia in the war, All the fronts (maybe when we’ll have more players). I really like the changes, I will keep supporting the game!

I am generally satisfied with the update. The new ammo is a neat addition but it looks the German paras are incomplete. They don’t appear to have transports making playing para seemingly redundant. I hope to see them added in a coming build, and perhaps para specific weapons like the FG42 and M1 carbine. I can see the obvious balancing issues there but it would add a bit of variety and would set them aside from the average rabble. The update overall is very satisfying. I love the addition of soldier camo and am excited to see the tweaks to LMGs.

Why they dont unlock some eastern front weapons just DP-28 & PPSh-41 a little bit boring. I want the TT-33 & PPS-43

  12. KillPhilKillPhil07-04-2014

This update has loads of cool stuff. But there are some flaws and i kind of want to talk about them. For example the parachute for the airborne troops opens way too late. In reality it is hooked up in the static line. That means it opens immediately after the soldier leaving the plane. Moving on – parachutes replaced some gear on the skin of the character – The M36 Bag or “Musette”. If possible, the skin should change on the fly – before jump – parachute, M36 in the front (and maybe adding a M1 Garand pouch to his leg) and – after landing – parachute left on the ground (animation would be nice :D), M36 on the back, gun in hands. I can not speak for the falschirmjager troops – i do not know much about them.

But overall – AI planes work great, paras are wayy more teamed up than before :)

P:S.: Helmet nets and scrim/leaves on helmets would be amazing :D
    Thanks for the update Reto!

  13. MOSKAUMOSKAU07-05-2014

hey Reto….you have misspelled “Quasada” for “Oester” ;)

  14. JJdudeJJdude07-07-2014

can we add more maps and also paras are taking ages to find games in matchmaking, thanks!

  15. warlordrushwarlordrush07-10-2014

    Thanks Reto-Moto Team
    The Paratroopers are awesome :D

What are you waiting for soldier? We need heroes on the battlefield and generals to lead them!
