Vehicles: Tank Destroyers and Heavy tanks.

With the light tanks & medium tanks presented in previous posts we now get to the heavy guys and the Tank Destroyers. These can, of course, also be personalized like other vehicles and we want to keep adding options for personalization over time.

Today we introduce the last two of the 9 new tanks. Over the coming weeks we will go into each vehicle in more detail, but to start with: Here is a quick overview of the Heavy Tanks and the Tank Destroyers.

So take a look! Tell your friends and DESTROY YOUR ENEMIES ;-)

The American Medium Tank Destroyer Assault Team keeps their fantastic M18 Hellcat the fastest tracked vehicle in the war.

M18 Hellcat

The M18 Hellcat is an American tank destroyer. It is lightly armored but extremely fast and armed with a powerful 76mm cannon. The Hellcat’s speed is used to flank the enemy hitting heavier tanks in the side or rear.

The German Medium Tank Destroyer gets a single new toy. The Jagdpanzer 38(t), better known as the ‘Hetzer

Jagdpanzer 38(t) ‘Hetzer’

Hetzer means ‘chaser’ in German and that is exactly what this small and fast tank destroyer does best. Low profile, sloped armor and a powerful 75mm cannon makes it a difficult to see, hard hitting opponent on the battlefield.

StuG III Ausf. F

Earning rank 5 in the Medium Tank Destroyer ribbon unlocks the StuG III.
This ‘F’ variant of the Sturmgeshütz III has been fitted with a long barrel 75mm cannon enabling it to fire armor-piercing rounds. Together with 80mm thick frontal armor this vehicle is built to stalk and destroy tanks.

The American Heavy Tank Assault Team keeps their powerful M26 Pershing the fastest of the heavies.

M26 Pershing

If you encounter this rare monster on the battlefield you know you are in trouble. Armed with a VERY powerful 90mm cannon and 11cm thick frontal armor it is more than a match for the heavy German tanks. On the other hand, if you DRIVE it, you truly are playing with power.

The German engineers are ready to roll out an addition to the already formidable Tiger. The Tiger II or ‘Königstiger”/’King Tiger’‘.

Panzerkampfwagen VI, Ausf. E ‘Tiger’

Tiger I, the legendary answer to the impressive new tanks fielded by Russia after the initial shock of the German invasion. The dreaded 88mm main gun and the extremely thick frontal armor makes it deadly to all enemy tanks.

Panzerkampfwagen Tiger II, Ausf. B ‘Königstiger’

Earning rank 12 in the Heavy Armor ribbon unlocks the incredible poweful giant the ‘King Tiger’. The ‘King Tiger’ was the most potent tank of WW2. The long barreled 88mm main gun combined with superior German optics enables this beast 6to easily destroy any tank on the battlefield at ranges beyond 2000 meters, while the crew was protected by an incredible amount of sloped armor.

oh the TK pic is missing :…(
but cool to have them all in one now :D

  2. MasterTankerMasterTanker05-08-2014

The performance is a little bit better but the frame dropping still, you are playing at 60 fps and when you need to fight the framerate drops until 4 fps, after you got killed the framerate goes back to normal.

The stupid BUG what kills you when you get off a vehicle persist, is annoying to die like that.

The new vehicles are amazing but now the game is over crowded of vehicles, now everyone has a heavy machine gun with wheels.

This game needs more maps, diferent game types and wider areas.

Tiger 2 pic missing, “This ‘F’ variant of the Sturmgeshütz III …” repeated for Tiger 2. Quality work as always …

are the Americans going to get any more tanks soon, or are you just going to keep giving the Germans more stuff

    • CurstCurst05-09-2014

There isn’t much more to give to the Americans. M4A3E2, M10 and M36 are probably going to be last. Unless Reto will decide to add prototypes as well as mass-produced tanks. Germany on the other hand had alot more. Pz V, Jagdpanzer IV, Marder II, Jagdpanther, Jagdtiger, Ferdinand to name a few.

So as you can hopefully see, it’s impossible NOT to give Germans “more stuff” and maintain at least a loose resemblance of historical accuracy at the same time. The only viable option is to open the eastern front or to add British forces to the western front.

I would like to see some new skins for each tank

  7. hchrishchris05-09-2014

What kind of map is this? I do not recall this map or this particular place in any map.

    • Reto.Robotron3000Reto.Robotron300005-09-2014

It is on the factory map. :-)

  8. TheNewLagConspiracyTheNewLagConspiracy05-09-2014

Formatting problem made me think Tiger II had 80 mm frontal armour… and I made a HUGE rant about it in chat. I just looked at the yellow text and didn’t notice it was talking about the STuG III.

  9. TuupertunutTuupertunut05-09-2014

Allies, you have 1 medium tank more so it is just 1 tank more that Axis has.

  10. WarbloodWarblood05-10-2014

There were never gray King Tigers… :/ I wish they would bring custom camo… And zimmerit… Maybe even unit emblems (the former chosen by the “Hero”, the latter the “General” maybe? – maybe even tank numbers?)…

  11. xjuliussxxjuliussx05-11-2014

So, in H&G, the armor warfare is like agility vs strength mmo version ? Allies armor – very fast-reliable, good dps. Axis armor – slow, un-reliable lack of mobility, average dps, good hitpoints ?
PZ2 turns around a static stuart, the turret of stuarts can outmatch the speed of PZ2 and turn faster than the PZ2 will make a full 360 degree turn around STUART – this should be corected.

What are you waiting for soldier? We need heroes on the battlefield and generals to lead them!
