Half the Battle – Blog Index

I look around me and I see a lot of new faces. Lots of green recruits looking to improve their efficiency in combat! War is dirty business, and there is a lot to learn. Luckily I have been posting gameplay advice in a semi-regular blog column called Half the Battle for a little while now, and in order for you to find these posts more easily, I organized them in a convenient index page on our wiki.

Remember that you can send me a private message on the Heroes & Generals Forum if you have ideas for topics that you would like to see discussed in Half the Battle. Stay tuned for more!

Just curious here, but are there any new maps coming up?
Other than that, keep up the good work guys.

Teaching new players not to always try to use high tier assault teams and waste them, such as Tigers and Pershings…

Indeed. Tell them when to use a light tank rather than a medium or heavy (f.ex. in a skirmish where you need to be constantly on the run to avoid enemy AT fire, you are better of with a quick light tank) and when makes it more sense to use the other variants. When do I use rather motorized Infantry (to rush in an village attack mission, while in a skirmish they are more a waste but are still worth a use if your team works well enough together) and when mechanized, and that you rather use guards and normal Inf when defending a town except you go all for the push.

Those things are not understood by more than the majority of new players, meaning that even the ones that are here for a while are either blind to such things or don’t care.

Love the game play. Wishing team communication was more fluid. However nothing else like it H & G.

What are you waiting for soldier? We need heroes on the battlefield and generals to lead them!
