A short update from the Reto-Moto HQ this Friday. While everybody survived the fireworks mayhem of New Years Eve a sneaky flu epidemic has really taken hold in Denmark and appears to be the worst in years.
While I had hoped to be able to write a triumphant bulletin about the might of game developers’ immune systems the naughty germs wanted it otherwise.
BUT while we a lot of us might be staggering around like snot-zombies we cannot cheat you out of an Intelligence Bulletin, so direct from the infirmary, here are some short news from the dev team.
The mobile command app is the domain of reto.sNell and the build process for the clients has been improved and cleaned up to help improve the speed of the mobile builds. On the strategic side Reto.Vashu has made some very visible and wonderful fixes on Felber, amongst these optimizing the campaign map and removing hangs when zooming as well as fixes for stat calculations for combat XP. On the Guderian build we are seeing improvements as well. Login-process has been updated and numerous small bugs squashed. Reto.Lord has also dug into the strategic game and has been working on performance optimizations.
The ‘First Blood’ mission is getting tested by reto.Splixxen and it is moving forward at a tremendous pace. And in other action news, reto.leto is hammering away at improvements to the vehicle code, Reto.Colding is making animations for the motorcycles, while the parachutes look better day by day.
And as you might have noticed from earlier bulletins we have taken hold of a larger server room and reto.hansG has been moving servers around, improving in-office network performance, setup workstations for new employees and as a nugget of information here towards the end our in-office printers has been moved a bit. So now our access to information distributed on slices of dead trees has improved as well!
NB: I have now tried to scare away the flu by screaming constantly for almost 2 hours. This does not work. Now I ALSO have a sore throat and the cat seems very angry with me for waking him up. Just thought you should know so you don’t need to repeat my mistake, angry cats are now something to be messed with!
